You won't want to miss the festivities during the 38th Annual Lickskillet Days. On October 18-19, Fayetteville, Texas will celebrate the area's German and Czech heritage. At one time, Fayetteville was named Lick Skillet (Lickskillet). Supposedly, latecomers to the numerous community festivals, who complained that all the food was gone, were told to ""lick the skillet.""Information:
