Description of Event:
More than 30,000 people are expected to visit the north central Illinois village of Utica on Sunday, October 12, 2014 to attend one of the state's longest running festivals. The Burgoo Festival, named for a hearty pioneer stew that will be served during the Sunday event, is its 45th edition in 2014. More than 300 arts and craft vendors and flea marketers will line the streets of Utica. Food vendors will offer butterflied porkchops, barbecue, home made ice cream, cold drinks, the Society's famous home made pies, and more. Various bands and vocalists will provide musical entertainment all day. Also, remember to visit the barn, blacksmith, and watch various demonstrations.Information:
