Description of Event:
The Johnsonville Heritage Festival will be held May 15th and 16th, 2015 at Venters Landing (formerly Witherspoon's Ferry, the site where General Francis Marion received his commission). On Friday night May 15th, it will have a Anything Pork cook-off (with $600 in prizes), the Josh Brannon Band, militia soldiers, various vendors and a cake baking competition (with $225 in prizes). On Saturday, May 16th, it will have a Bar-b-Que Chicken Cook-off (with $1000 in prizes), Cruise Band, various vendors from educational booths to food vendors, canoe/kayak rides, etc. Entrance to the event is free to the public.Information:
