Don't miss Gold Rush Days August 11th and 12th! The event will be held in the natural setting of McPhelemy Park in the heart of Buena Vista with live entertainment throughout both days to be announced. The Colorado State University Logging Sports Team will demonstrate their skills on the Town Lake. There will be story telling of area ranching history and historic reenactments, gold panning, and over 100 vendors. Saturday evening 'The Madams of Central Colorado' will entertain you with historical tidbits from our past at the Buena Vista Heritage Museum. Sunday at 11:00 the third leg of the Triple Crown Burro Race will run down Main Street, followed by the citizen's race.
