The Summerville Family YMCA is proud of its award-winning fundraiser – the Flowertown Festival. The YMCA, with the help of the Town of Summerville, has been able to organize, coordinate and direct this unique event that showcases the great community we live in. With the help of town administrators, local police and fire personnel, plus the hard work of countless volunteers, the Flowertown Festival attracts over 200,000 annually and has been a signature event of the YMCA since its inception in 1972. Since the YMCA is a non-profit organization, the net proceeds from the Flowertown Festival are used to continue the organization's philanthropic mission by offering programs at an affordable rate and helping families in need who cannot afford to pay program or membership fees.
