Description of Event:
On Sunday, September 27, 2014 Fanwood will hold its’ Annual Fannywood Day. This event will be held on South Martine & South Ave’s from 11AM-5 PM. The streets will be transformed into a giant block party.The day will start off with a car show, followed by the opening ceremony. If you enjoy shopping there will be 100+ exhibitors selling arts & crafts, new items and lots of bargains, too.
Dress your pets up for the pet parade, judging will take place.
Wait…there’s more fun! Among some of the contests taking place are a hot dog eating contest, ice cream eating contest, stuffed pretzel eating contest, bubble gum-blowing contest and hoola hoop contest. We will feature the 4th Annual Photo’s of Fanwood Contest, a Water Balloon Contest, an Ice Cream Sundae Eating Contest & a Pizza Eating. There will be prizes for all contests.The kids will have fun at the pony rides & petting zoo, kiddie rides and climbing rock wall. Also returning is the Fotos of Fanwood Contest, winners will be announced at the festival. Musical entertainment will be provided the stage area with a DJ and live entertainers.
So mark your calendars and visit the street air where you’ll be sure to run into many friends and neighbors. It’s a fun day and a chance to show your support to the community just by showing up and enjoying yourselves.
