There is a feeling of letting go that comes with the first breath of cooler air, signs of autumn to come, leaves losing the full summer green. Summer's end creates the impression that we must stumble back in line to greet the normalcy of life. It seems that the relaxation has to end and hard work and routine must take the place of lazy days and summer spontaneity. And yet, the coolness also brings an energy, fall as a time of new beginnings. Though leaves are turning brown and gardens are going to sleep, it does not suffice it to say they are dying...they are flowing into a new phase. The school bus comes around the corner again, we take our long sleeves out of hiding, moving vans are packed and we re-order our homes.
