Description of Event:
The first night football game was played in the small town of Mansfield, PA on September 28, 1892. Each year the residents of Mansfield come together to commemorate this historic event with a weekend-long celebration of the storied past. Horse-drawn carriages, antique automobiles, period attire, and all things 1890's can be seen as the town travels back in time. The featured event of the weekend is the reenactment of the first night football game, featuring actors wearing authentic uniforms, 1890's rules, and humorously accurate game-play. Other popular attractions are the fireworks display, the 1890's Parade, and hot-air balloon rides. Come join us for a weekend of old-time family fun on September 26 and 27, 2014 in Mansfield, Pennsylvania. Hours: Fri 3pm-11pm, Sat 10am-11pmInformation:
