Description of Event:
Delaware 'Bay Day' is the largest FREE festival in the tri-state region. The 23rd Annual Delaware Bay Day folklife festival will take place on the first Saturday in June this year. Delaware Bay Day celebrates the unique maritime heritage and outstanding natural resources of the Delaware Bayshore region of New Jersey. Events are held along the 'Wild and Scenic' Maurice River in Bivalve, NJ, with shuttle service from parking areas in Port Norris. The day features street and boat parades, activities for children and adults, regional foods, NJ wine tasting, music, contests, games, and river cruises aboard the historic schooner A.J. Meerwald. Festival favorites include blue crab races, an oyster shucking contest, traditional crafts, local seafood specialties and fireworks! Hours: 11am-9pmInformation:
