Description of Event:
We will be marketing on social media, radio, magazines and other print options to get this, our first year, known by the local community. Our marketing is generated to reach out to the valley, down to the Kenai Peninsula, to the military base, and to the Anchorage community. Christmas Towne, Alaska will run from Nov 17th through Dec 18th, 10-6pm, Thursday through Sunday. Each weekend will be treated as an independent option for vendors to participate in. You can choose to participate a minimum of one weekend or up to five weekends.
Christmas Towne, Alaska will have Christmas lit walking trails with large and humorous inflatables for all to enjoy, a library and book nook for children to warm up and read while parents wrap gifts purchased for the holiday season (books are provided free to all participants to take home and enjoy), children will be able to reserve time with Santa and Mrs. Claus to make hand print ornaments or bake cookies from scratch, and families will be able to take their annual Christmas pictures with Santa to reminisce for years to come. There will be a Santa 5k fun run to bring additional attention to the event where all participants will be dressed as Santa, Mrs. Claus, elves, reindeer or in their favorite ugly Christmas sweater.
We are working to bring the sights, sounds, smells, and feel of the holidays together in one place and are excited to make this the foremost Christmas event for the community this year and in for many years ahead. Hot chocolate, the smell of cookies baking, Christmas music filling the air, Christmas lights, holiday inflatables, humorous billboard cutouts and holiday decorations abounding, decorating this winter wonderland for the holidays!
