Description of Event:
This fall fine arts festival is held on the first weekend of November each year in the largest public park in Fulton County, home to the Chastain Amphitheater, Horse Barn, Athletic Fields, Arts Center, Swim Club, and Golf Course. The Chastain Park Arts Festival made its debut in 2009 with over 150 regional fine artists in various disciplines, with a 60% return rate each year. While the focus is on local and regional artists, this is a nationally advertised festival. Each artist applicant is juried by a panel of experts. Judging is done on site during the first day of the event to award Best in Show, 2nd Place, and 3rd Place awards. Accoustic music, V.I.P. sponsors, a pet parade and food court compliment this annual event. Average attendance is 40,000 visitors and is free to attend. A donation is made from this event to benefit a local charity or arts scholarship program.
