Join 1337 on an epic day at Kennywood Park! A historic yet cutting-edge amusement park, Kennywood combines old-fashioned fair ambience with some of the most exhilarating and technologically advanced thrill rides, providing the perfect setting for our spring music festival. Featuring amazing headliners and the best local DJs in Pittsburgh on 3 stages with full sound and insane lighting, including a silent disco!

FAQ:

Q. Will the whole park be open to us?
A. Yes. When you come into Kennywood, there will be a section for you to get wristbanded and gain access to the festival area. Once wristbanded, you will be able to leave the festival area and come back as you please so you can enjoy the rest of the park.

Q. How will tickets work?
A. When you buy a presale, we will reserve you a ticket to Kennywood to access the park plus a ticket to the event to get your wristband.

Q. I have a season Pass/Work at Kennywood. Do i still have to buy a package deal?
A. People with season passes or tickets will be able to buy just a wristband for access to the park.

Q. Will there be VIP?
A. Not this year.

Q. Will there be alcohol?
A. Kennywood now has a Beer Garden near our festival section. You must stay in the Beer Garden while drinking.

Q. Will there be re-entry?
A. Your wristband will get you in and out of the festival area through a re-entry path. Kennywood allows re-entry to the park. You will pass through metal detectors and you and your bags will be searched on your way back in each time.

Q. Can I play Ascension Music Festival?
A. Maybe. This has been in planning for a while and we basically have a local lineup pretty close to finalized. But that doesn’t mean you can’t wow us with a mix! Send all DJ submissions to 1337pgh@gmail.com

Q. Can I vend?
A. Yes. We will have vendor applications posted soon.

Q. What if it rains?
A. All of our stages are covered so this is a rain or shine event. In the rare case of severe weather, the park may close. If this happens the music will go on and Kennywood park will issue you a raincheck ticket to come to Kennywood on another day. We’ve been following weather reports and the farmer’s almanac and we are pretty confident that this won’t be an issue. But just in case, we have you covered. *pun*

Q. What is the security/medic situation?
A. We will have our own hired security as well as Kennywood’s security. The same with medics. Since this is our first year, and an amazing opportunity, we’re asking everyone to act as a communal security. If you see someone acting irresponsibly, please notify someone from security. If someone is getting out of control, vandalizing, or seems overly intoxicated, please, PLEASE don’t hesitate to inform a staff member and it will be dealt with in a professional and anonymous manner. We’re even thinking about giving incentive with this. If you bring a situation to our attention and we feel it stopped an issue, we will give out free tickets to our future events, etc.
