As seen in Art World News, November 2011 issue, ""This past summer the inaugural Amagansett Fine Arts Festival took place in East Hampton to much acclaim."" Just east of the village of East Hampton, along the Montauk Highway, lies the town of Amagansett. Bringing a festival of independent artists to this area provides a rare opportunity to meet some of these modern masters. The casual nature of a day in the park while spending time with each artist alleviates much of the pomp and pagentry of engaging a gallery director. All of these artists have been invited to exhibit based on their excellence and accomplishment, and for one weekend the public can take a break and view the world through the eyes of some of the greatest artists in the country.
