The 46th Annual Italian Festival located just west of Oklahoma’s own “Little Italy” of Krebs at the Southeast Expo Center in McAlester is May 14-15th 2016. This two day event has something for everyone.
Starting on Saturday May 14th at 9am with the arts and crafts booths inside the Expo Center. Browse through the Center seeing all types of amazing items. Whether their hand made or custom from the heart these booths will have you coming back for more. As the day goes on and the kids are ready to go outside make your way over to the bounce houses and the bungee trampoline. Suddenly the smell of an old fashioned spaghetti dinner fills the air you can make your way over to the booth to purchase your meal ticket and head on into the spaghetti tent to have all of your Italian senses satisfied. After you have stuffed yourself on the great Italian meal browse through the other outdoor activities while enjoying the sound of a live band on the main stage. Just when you thought it was over you hear the joyous laughter of kids and parents alike as they enjoy the carnival rides. Make your way down the midway try your luck at popping the balloons, or knocking over the milk cans. Ride the Carousel and let the sound of the calliope take you back to your childhood while enjoying it with your own kids, along with many other rides and attractions.
Whether you stay all day or just half a day you can always come back on Sunday May 15th and enjoy it all over again, or see some of the booths you may have missed on Saturday.
