47th Annual World Famous Armadillo Festival featuring the Armadillo derby and many other exciting activities. See beautifully restored national historic register churches and architecture dating to the Civil War. Visit the Ashley County Museum's collections of turn of the century living history and horse drawn carriages. Shop the historic downtown area for arts and crafts, gifts, clothing, antiques, and more. There's even an old fashioned ice cream shop. It'll have everything from arts and crafts, carnival rides, live entertainment, and food to armadillo races, an armadillo meat-eating contest, and a magic show.Information:
