The 15th annual Heiva I Kaua`i will be held on August 6 and 7, 2016 at Kapa`a Beach Park. Heiva is a celebration of Tahitian culture, which features competition and exhibition performances of exciting Tahitian Otea, Aparima and Ahupurotu dances. Heiva I Kaua`i is an international Tahitian dance and drumming competition which includes solo and group competitors from throughout Hawai`i, the Mainland and Japan. More than 40 vendors offer an extensive array of Tahitian and other Pacific Island gifts, jewelry, art, woodwork and clothing. Food vendors sell a variety of ethnic foods. Polynesian artists and crafters demonstrate coconut frond and lauhala weaving, Polynesian carving, and lei making. Hours: 9am-5pmInformation:
