Description of Event:
The crab and art festival brings regional cuisine, culture, and art to the forefront each August. The festival goers take part in an extensive crab and beer tasting which features area restaurants each offering a crab dish representative of their cuisine's styles and personalities. Past dishes have included crab ceviche, crabmeat beignets, crab sushi rolls, and crab gazpacho. Dishes are then paired with Louisiana craft brews from breweries such as Covington Brewhouse, Bayou Teche Brewing, Parish Brewing, and Tin Roof Brewing Co. Live music, local art displays, and interactive cultural activities will also accompany the event. Hours: 5 p.m.-8 p.m.Information:
